GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Police are trying to help a family that is desperately searching for a missing man.

Thomas Love, 42, was last seen Monday night at his house in the Spring Valley subdivision, which is near Patterson and 28 roads.

Love's family says he has Downs Syndrome. They think he left home between 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., packing a few belongings to take with him. Via Facebook, Love's niece says he is most likely wearing a red plaid jacket, jeans and tan work boots.

Grand Junction Police officers have looked in the area around his house, but they don't have any leads as to where he may be.

If see Love, police say you should call 911 immediately.
