The Grand Valley has plenty of options to keep you entertained this Halloween, from pumpkin patches, to corn mazes, and haunted houses.

The Western Colorado Botanical Garden will be hosting their first haunted castle this year. The castle is decked out with ghosts and goblins over the span of ten rooms that will put your fear factor to the test.

Organizers say it’s a great way to bring some attention back to the Botanical Gardens.

"It’s just a great place. I really like to get attention drawn down here to the gardens so that more people realize what we have down here. I think this is a great event to start us off and get us ready for that," says Robert Haywood, Event Coordinator at the Botanical Gardens.

The haunted castle opens on the 23rd, then on Halloween night, there will be a carnival with games, candy, and a bump-and-jump for the younger kids. Staff at the gardens are asking parents to use their discretion before allowing younger kids go into the haunted castle.

All the proceeds will go to helping keep up the Botanical Gardens.
