GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Different deadlines have been thrown around and changed since open enrollment started on October 1, but industry experts have issued some hard upcoming deadlines to follow.
Whether you are trying to get your family covered or just need insurance for yourself you have until February 15 to turn in your application to Connect for Health Colorado to be covered by March 1
Another deadline to watch out for is March 15. If you have applied for coverage by then your insurance will be in effect by April 1.

If you are still confused about your plan options and networks of doctors and hospitals, a health insurance professional can help you understand the differences.
If you're not insured by March 31 you face a fine of 1% of your income or $95 per adult and $47.50 per child in your family. The fine will be applied when you file for your 2014 tax return.
When enrollment closes the next chance you'll get to enroll won't be until November 15th.
