Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) --- Having a loved one with an extended stay at the hospital can be tough, But at St. Mary's hospital, finding a place to stay is a little easier.

On Friday morning, The Knights of Columbus, Council 13621 Immaculate Heart of Mary donated more than $7,000 to the Rose Hill Hospitality House.

The House is a place where family and friends of patients at St. Mary's Hospital can stay, providing comfort, care and closeness to the hospital.

"The house is really a gem of our community, it provides a place for patients and their families to stay completely free of charge," says Executive Director of the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, Carmen Moyer. "Donations like this make it possible to run the house."

The money was raised through a charity golf tournament that the group held at Adobe Creek Golf Course back in July.
