Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) --- Several local companies and groups gathered at Intellitec College today to partake in a Community Resource Fair.
Booths were set up in 2 buildings for the public to wander around and obtain information about local resources ranging from housing to daycare to mental health and even employment assistance.
"It is a culmination of the resources in the area that are available for the public," says Intellitec College's Community Outreach Coordinator, Sandy Sheppard. "We thought that it would be a good idea to have them all housed under one roof so that everyone could come out and visit them."
The event included an immunization clinic by the Mesa County Health Department a 'Cavity Free at Three' dental services program and even free chair massages.
Officials with the fair say they plan on making it an annual event.
