GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. CDOT officials said Grand Junction maintenance crews have an $11 million budget for snow removal and they are projected to use all of that money this year.
With the weather not letting up anytime soon, the Transportation Commission may have to help with their backup fund of removal money.
Despite the potential for being over-budget, CDOT officials said they would never stop snow removal because of the safety risk to residents.
Statewide, snow removal for Colorado has a $60 million budget.
