Local teacher charged with sexual exploitation of a child

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Randy Majors saw his day in court Monday after being placed on administrative leave in November for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to students.

Majors was charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a child after an investigation looked into his interactions with students and members of the tennis team he coached for.

District 51 officials say Majors resigned from his position on January 31st after being arrested earlier that month and posting bond.

Majors is due back in court for a review in March.
