Main Street holds Veterans Day Parade

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – This year’s Veterans Day Parade will be held on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction beginning at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 10. The parade will run east to west on Main Street from 8th to 3rd Street.

The parade will feature multiple-honor guard units, several marching bands, floats, veterans, scout groups, surprise entries, various clubs, and our local National Guard units including some of their equipment.

Spectators and children are encouraged to show up early if they want to meet with troops and marchers, which will take place east of 5th and Main prior to the parade at approximately 1:20 p.m.

This is known to be the third largest Veterans Day parade in the state and one of the largest in our region. The organization among entries will happen between 12:30 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. on the R5 School grounds at 8th and Rood.
