MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) -- Sex assault on a child charges have led to the arrest of a Grand Junction man.

Charles Bourbeau, 44, is facing a number of charges after a 14-year-old girl told authorities he'd touched her inappropriately multiple times over about a three-year period.

Bourbeau is already in the Mesa County Jail on physical abuse charges.

He now faces nine charges for this latest case, including multiple counts of sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child as a pattern of abuse, sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and others.
