GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The man killed in a rollover accident early Sunday morning has been identified.
Clifton resident Jacob Michael Hall, 21, had a blood alcohol content of 0.299 when his Pontiac flipped over, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
He was driving eastbound on I-70 near 20 Road when he ran off the left side of the road, hitting the median and rolling three times.
As his car was flipping, Hall flew out of it and fell on the eastbound lanes of I-70. He died on the scene.
The coroner determined that Hall died from multiple blunt force injuries and that his death was an accident.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind drivers to please take two seconds to buckle their seatbelts anytime they are traveling in a motor vehicle. Also, think twice before they operate a motor vehicle after they have been consuming alcoholic beverages.
