Men slip into high heels, to benefit the Latimer House

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Teams of grown men were slipping into their favorite high heels at the farmers market Thursday night. They did this not to make a fashion statement, but instead to raise money for Hilltop's Latimer House. The event raises awareness about domestic violence, with all the proceeds going to the Latimer House.

The event featured teams of five men each who raced relays in high heels. The baton in the relay was a purse. Among the teams who participated were ones from the police department and the Mesa County Probation office.
The race was held in downtown Grand Junction at the ANB Bank Farmers’ Market.
