GRAND JUNCTON, Colo. The Sunset Slope Quilters are a community service group that meets once a month to sew quilts for St. Mary's Cancer Survivors rogram.
Saturday's event had the 60 handmade quilts that will be donated to the program this year as well as live music and sewing workshops.
"Our goal is to share our quilts with our friends and the community. we educate people on how to quilt," says Marion Fenner from the Sunset Slope Quilters.
For those interested in learning how to make a quilt or to become a part of this wonderful organization, just stop by the American Lutheran Church at 9 p-m on the second wednesday of the month.
The group welcomes quilters of all ages and experience levels.
