FRUITA, Colo. Moms and their kids seeking a little zen, were able to enjoy the benefits of yoga together.
Two workshops were held at the Divine Dance and Family Yoga center in Fruita. The first was a mommy and me yoga class, where moms were able to bond with their baby. The next class was a kids yoga workshop and officials say children are able to learn more than just the downward dog.
"All the values of love and faith and kindness, and so we teach those through movement and play here, teaching all those values with action through the body," said Kelsey Livingston owner of Divine Dance and Family Yoga.
Livingston is a mother herself and understands how children enjoy being active, which is why she wanted to create yoga classes for mothers and children.
