Motorcycle pinned under Jeep

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) A motorcyclist trying to avoid an accident winds up pinned under a Jeep.

Around 3:30 p.m. a motorcycle was traveling Westbound on Orchard Avenue when a Jeep Cherokee failed to yield while making a left hand turn, in front of him at 18th Street. While trying to avoid colliding with the Jeep, the motorcyclist wound up skidding sideways and struck the vehicle.

The cyclist was transported to the hospital by an ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The Grand Junction Police Department cited the driver of the Jeep for turning left in front of traffic.
