CSP cites 20 drivers for failing to move over

MESA COUNTY, Colo. Colorado State Patrol teams across the state are cracking down on drivers who fail to move over for vehicles on the side of the road.

Since late last week, troopers in Fruita have cited twenty drivers for failing to obey the move over law.

The law says any driver approaching an emergency vehicle, maintenance vehicle, or a car with it's hazard lights on must move over and slow down until they pass the scene.

Citations for failing to move over can cost you upwards of $165.
