Mr. JUCO gives Grand Valley students a surprise

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. District 51 students get a special visit from everyone's favorite mascot for a special ticket giveaway.

The Junior College World Series 20,000 ticket giveaway continued with Appleton Elementary early Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. JUCO came to give grand valley students an opportunity to take part in one of the Western Slope's most beloved athletic tournaments.

“This was great, Appleton did a fabulous job of recognizing Mr. JUCO and celebrating JUCO for what it is and kicking off the summer season,” says Mike Stahl of Hilltop Community Resources.

The tickets distributed to students are good for opening games on Saturday and Sunday.

Hilltop Community Services 20,000 ticket giveaway amounts to a $2500 dollar donation to the Western Slope youth.
