School safety and violence prevention are topics on a lot of peoples minds this year and Thursday night CMU hosed a national safety consultant who shares his own experiences dealing with emergency situations and gives guidance on steps that can be taken to avoid future tragedies.
Dr. John Nicoletti has been involved in several high profile investigations including Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings. Now he speaks at school districts and federal law enforcement agencies, helping them know more about minimizing vulnerabilities.
The presentation was at the CMU Maverick Center at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and was open to the public free of charge.
