What started out as a scene from “Home Alone” turned into one out of “Gone in 60 Seconds.”
Colorado State Patrol responded to 469 Ananessa Drive around 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon on reports of a car crashing into a tree.
CSP says the car was making a turn at excessive speeds. The driver traveled off the right side of the road going through one driveway and front yard, then steered his way across the road into another yard before crashing into a tree.
The surprise here? The driver was a nine-year old boy who was left home alone.
Authorities say he drove a little over a mile before crashing.
No charges have been filed yet but the investigation is on-going.
