Obama for America, Sen. Hillman make GJ stops today

Now that the first debate is in the books, it’s back to the campaign trail.

Tonight, that trail heads right through Grand Junction.

Obama for America-Colorado will launch an RV tour following the president’s rally at Sloan’s Lake in Denver.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, Senator Mark Udall, Senator Michael Bennet and other dignitaries including city council member Teresa Coons will end their day with a stop in Grand Junction.

The "Colorado Forward" tour will be at the Obama for America office located at 2454 Highway 6 and 50 at 8 p.m.

Hillman hits Mesa County

Colorado State Senator Mark Hillman (R) will also be in Grand Junction today.

The former state treasurer will speak at the Western Slope Conservative Alliance meeting today, touching on topics of property rights here in the Grand Valley along with other state and national issues.

He's also joining the fight against lawsuit abuse, speaking on behalf of the Colorado lawsuit abuse watch organization.

The meeting is tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the city auditorium inside of city hall.

Hillman will stay in town tomorrow to meet with local business leaders and other concerned citizens.
