GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Orchard Mesa pool is set to re-open this Thursday morning after being closed for a much needed facelift. The pool that is 30 years old, was closed down last September for the renovations.

Crews drained the pool so they could re-surface it. They also laid down a new surface around the pool and in the locker rooms. The locker rooms were also made ADA compliant. It's a renovation the city and county are proud of.

There will be a grand re-opening celebration on Friday, Jan 10th, beginning at 5 pm. Door prizes will be given to the first 100 people with additional prizes given throughout the evening. All who attend will be able to swim for free.
