The last surviving member of the original Blue Angels team flew into Grand Junction today. It was a partnership between Tammy Allen of Allen Unique Autos and West Star Aviation. Allen flew to California to pick up Alfred Taddeo on her plane and West Star provided the fuel. The whole thing was quite a surprise Al.

"I’d admire the newer pilots because I think they have had a tougher time then we had, and they do a magnificent job in representing our country," said former Blue Angel Alfred Taddeo.

Al's son and grandchildren are here with the ninety-three years old. The original pilot says he hopes the newer Angels. Some of whom he met today, look to him as just another young man who enlisted in the Navy to serve his country, just like them.
