FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) October is here and that means it's time to go out and pick the perfect pumpkin to carve.
In addition to two 'haunted' mazes, a petting zoo and hay rides, Moon Farm in Fruita has plenty of pumpkins to go around, but they say to come sooner rather than later.
"There's just more to pick from," says co-owner of Moon Farm, David Moon. "If you wait 'til the last moment, a lot of my big pumpkins, the big-stem pumpkins, are gone."
Moon says there are several kinds for everyone to choose from but a common, basketball-sized pumpkin will only cost you about $6.
