GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) -- Law enforcement all over the state posted up at Red Robins restaurants in an effort to raise money for the Special Olympics.
The Mesa County location has a reputation of raising the most money for the past two years in a row, and Deputy State Director Chris Wright says he hopes to beat out the competition again this year.
"This is about the 5th or 6th year that Red Robin has been a part of it, one of our founders, Red Robin, is a Colorado based company; so they jumped on board to help provide a place for us to drum up funds for Special Olympics Colorado," said Wright.
More than 40 Special Olympic athletes and law enforcement officials helped serve the community, busing tables and filling up glasses.
