MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) – Powderhorn Mountain Resort has some sad news for our area’s skiers and snowboarders: opening day has been pushed back.
The Grand Mesa resort will not open on Thursday as planned, but it could open as early as Saturday.
A Powderhorn spokesperson cites a lack of snow as the reason for the delay, but she's hopeful that the snow expected on Wednesday may be enough to open the slopes this weekend.
KKCO 11 News will keep you updated on the status of ski season at Powderhorn as information becomes available.
