Public input welcome on Lincoln Park playground

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The city of Grand Junction is asking for your help picking out new playground equipment for Lincoln Park.

The city received a $250,000 Great Outdoors grant to replace the old equipment and make the playground more accessible.

The community will view final selections and give their feedback Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Barn. The event is open to anyone.

The playground is just one piece in the new development of Lincoln Park. The city also plans to put in an arboretum trail, build concrete sidewalks and remove Loop Road.

Find out more about the improvements by subscribing to the Parks and Recreation newsletter (a link can be found below under Related Links), or call Traci Wieland at (970)254-3846.
