GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The closure and healing process for loved ones of William and Tyler has begun. Tonight, friends, family and strangers came together to honor the lives of the two young children at a visitation service, nearly two months after their deaths.

For the boys' grandparents, it has been a long battle to bury their grandsons. William and Tyler's mother, Heather Jensen, wished to have the boys cremated, but lost her rights to make any decision after she was charged with multiple felony counts relating to the boys' deaths.

"We've been waiting 68 days for this, 68 days of heartache," said Robert Mathena, William and Tyler's grandpa. "Tomorrow is going to be really hard, but it's a beginning of closure and going on with our lives."

The funeral will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Palisade Christian Church. The family says the public is welcome to attend and pay tribute to the beloved brothers.
