Share your thoughts with Grand Valley Transit

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Grand Valley Transit (GVT) is in the preliminary stage of a possible partnership with Greyhound Bus. On Monday GVT had an open house. The GVT is asking for your opinion on the possible partnership and on transit's current routes.
The open house was held at GVT operations facility.

The current proposal says if the proposed partnership were to happen GVT would house Greyhound at its operations facility. The facility would expand to have a lobby and house about four Greyhound buses.

GVT officials say there are definitely some benefits to teaming with Greyhound. "Well, there will be inter-motor connections since they will be right next to GVT the connection will help. There's also the possibility local funding that could come from Greyhound that could help support Grand Valley Transit," says Kathy Young, Transportation Planner.

If you weren't able to attend Monday's open house GVT still wants your input. You can send an e-mail to grandvalleytransit@mesacounty.Us or give them a call at 970-255-7188.

that "could" come from Greyhound typical b.s. from someone who is looking to rip off the public. Tell us it is in the contract and then it is news worthy.
