Shell stations help in search for Jessica Ridgeway

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- A local business is stepping up to help with the search for Jessica Ridgeway. The Shell stations on First and Grand and Horizon Drive are using their large, advertising sign to post an Amber Alert, along with a photo and information about Jessica Ridgway, who disappeared near her Denver home last Friday.

Shell officials said even though the search is focused more than 200 miles away, the company wanted to do anything it could to help.

"We wouldn't care if it was Denver, New York, Tibet. If there's a child missing and there is something we could do to possibly help out, we absolutely would," general manager Mike Rathbomb said.

Shell gas stations are posting the Amber Alert from Grand Junction to Parachute and even in Montrose, and officials said Shell plans to keep the alerts up until Jessica is found.
