Silt fatal car crash- one teen dead

SILT, Colo. (KKCO) -- A fatal crash in Silt leaves one teen dead.

A one vehicle fatal crash occurred earlier this morning. A blue 1997 Honda CR-V was traveling eastbound on Colorado Interstate 70 near mile post 95 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car rolled over two times.

As a result of the crash, a 19-year-old female from Denver was ejected and killed.

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, but drug use is suspected as a contributing factor in the accident.

The state patrol would like to remind everyone to buckle up and abstain from using drugs and alcohol when you plan on driving.
