MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) A single vehicle crash on Highway 50 lands a man in a median and backed up traffic early this morning.

Around 4:20 a.m. the man crashed his van into the median and after the accident he refused to get out of his vehicle. As precaution, officials blocked part of Highway 50 near Mile Marker 52, until they were able to talk to man out of the van.

Colorado State Patrol says the driver was agitated and yelling at officers when they arrived to the scene.

The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
