GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - It was six years ago Friday Grand Junction mom Paige Birgfeld was last heard from. She was missing for years until her body was found in the Delta County desert in March of 2012.
The mother of three disappeared in 2007. It later came out she'd been living a double life as an escort. The investigation into her disappearance is still going on, and no one has been arrested for her death.
Her father, Frank Birgfeld, has since asked the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and FBI to take over the investigation from the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, alleging money went missing from Paiges' home during the investigation. He also says he's never gotten Paige's remains and wants to finally be able to lay his daughter to rest.
