GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Police are urging caution from people using crosswalks after a skateboarder and a car collided Thursday morning.

Grand Junction police said a Grand Junction High School student didn't look for oncoming traffic when he sped through the crosswalk on his skateboard at 5th St and Tiger Way.

The teenager hit an oncoming car's side-view mirror.

Nobody was injured and the driver of the car was not cited, but the police did issue the student a ticket for entering the road abruptly.
