GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Although the craziness has died down at Cabela's, just a couple days ago 750 customers waited patiently in the cold for the doors to open at 5:00 a.m. on Black Friday.
That number may seem big, but Marketing Manager Lauren Truitt said that is actually a decrease from last year's 1,100 customer line.
The Mesa Mall opening at 8PM on Thanksgiving is what Truitt said is part of the reason why less people were waiting at the door, which benefited the mall as officials there say they saw a big increase in foot traffic this weekend.
Black Friday is not the only shopping day leading people to open their wallets. The National Retail Federation reported more than 131 million people will shop online on Cyber Monday.
"A lot of people have realized you can actually get a lot better deals in many cases online," Adam Cochran, Colorado Mesa University Professor.
