GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Police arrest a man suspected of robbing a Bradley Sinclair store over the weekend.

Early Wednesday morning, 30-year-old James Rucker was taken into custody in the 1700 block of North Avenue when a Grand Junction Police officer spotted him walking down the street, according to GJPD spokesperson Kate Porras.

Rucker was wearing the same clothing that the suspect wore during the robbery, and officers found a fully loaded handgun hidden on Rucker as they arrested him. Police had previously identified Rucker as a possible suspect.

Rucker now faces charges of aggravated robbery, felony menacing, theft, possession of weapons by a previous offender and illegally carrying a concealed weapon.

On Feb. 16, an armed suspect wearing dark pants and a white hooded sweatshirt robbed the Bradley Sinclair gas station at 233 North Avenue. He had escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The investigation is ongoing.
