A suspect is on the run after crashing a stolen pick-up and fleeing the scene.

It happened around 9 p.m. Friday night. A Mesa County Sheriff's deputy saw a vehicle driving erratically on the road. A quick check of the license plate showed it had been stolen from Silt on October 6th.

The deputy attempted to pull the car over. The driver instead took off, leading the deputy on a chase before crashing on F Road and Peace Drive, hitting a parked car.

Colorado State Patrol also attended to the scene. The driver fled the vehicle after crashing, and authorities were unable to find him. The incident is still under investigation.
