GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Tonight hundreds of families were able to enjoy good food while benefiting firefighters. Texas Roadhouse held a state-wide fundraiser to help firefighters. The Grand Junction restaurant cooked up good food and part of all dinner proceeds will go to the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation.

"We have some of our local firefighters, they are here and some of our engines are out back, so that everybody can come in and take a look and we're gonna be feeding our local fire departments," said Lacy Rogers the Service Manager at Texas Roadhouse.

"We designed our own t-shirt to help raise a little bit of extra money, all of our servers are inside wearing them right now and all the proceeds are going to go to Colorado's Foundation as well," said Brandon Goebel the Kitchen Manager at Texas Roadhouse.

Firefighters had their truck at the establishment to discuss fire safety. Preliminary numbers show the Grand Junction Texas Roadhouse raised about $1,000 tonight for the foundation.
