Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- A new report out from the Colorado Tourism Office showed 60 million visitors made their way to the Mile High state last year, bringing in nearly $17 million.

Local businesses are also feeling the benefits from this tourism as Danny Wilson, Head Brewer at the Palisade Brewing Company, said they saw a 10-15% boost in tourism from last summer.

Farmer Bob, from Alida's Fruit, also said he has seen tourists from all over the world coming into his store to buy souvenirs, which helps his sales.

The Grand Junction Visitors Center is making strides in advertising by taking to social media to get the word out that the city has many recreational opportunities for visitors to participate in.

A bi-annual study conducted by the Visitors Center showed 70% of visitors that vacation in Grand Junction come back for a second visit.
