DELTA, Colo. (KKCO) - The identity of a Delta man killed while riding his bike Wednesday night has been released.
Delta Police responded to Highway 92 and Henrie Street from reports of a cyclist being hit by a car just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
There, they found 63-year-old Craig Warren Hampton of Delta seriously injured after he tried to cross Highway 92.
Officials say Hampton was hit by a 60-year-old Eckert man driving a pickup truck.
There's been no word on injuries to the truck driver or whether he faces any charges at this time.

DELTA, Colo. (KKCO)— A man is dead after he is hit by a pickup truck while riding his bike.
Delta Police say the cyclist—whose name has not been released—was riding east on Highway 92 Wednesday around 8 p.m.
As he was crossing near Henrie Street, he was struck by a pickup truck, driven by a 60-year-old Eckert man.
When emergency crews arrived, the cyclist was taken to a Grand Junction hospital via CareFlight. He died shortly after.
Police say the case is under investigation and no more information is available at this time.
