GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Two separate vehicle crashes occurred within minutes of each other at the intersection of I70-B and 28 road.
The first one happened just after 6:00 on Monday evening. A white car traveling eastbound on I70-B stopped at a traffic light at 28 road, when another white vehicle ran into the back of it. One person was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Just minutes afterward, a gray Ford pickup truck traveling southbound on 28 road was turning left onto I-70B when it collided with a maroon Buick LeSabre that was traveling westbound on I70-B. The truck flipped over onto its side, which closed down the intersection. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
The intersection of I70-B and 28 road was re-opened just after 7:00 p.m.
