GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Snowmobiler Caleb Moore, who was injured Jan. 24 during the X Games freestyle finals, has died.
Family spokesperson Chelsea Lawson confirmed his death Thursday in a statement, expressing the family's "deep gratitude for all the prayers and support they have received from all the fans, friends and family around the world that Caleb has inspired."
Twenty-five-year-old Moore was performing a flip when he caught a ski on the jump and flew over the handlebars. He walked off the course and was taken to an Aspen hospital for a concussion.
There, he began to bleed around his heart, so he was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. On Sunday, his family said Moore had a secondary complication with his brain.
He died Thursday morning.
Lawson says his family is making arrangements for a "celebration of life" and the details will be announced in days to come.
A fund has been set up to raise money for Moore's hospital bills. Click the link below for the website.
