GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Flames peaked out the attic windows of an unoccupied home on B 1/4 Road Wednesday afternoon.

The GJFD responded to the call around 1:00 p.m. At the scene they identified the fire coming from the attic.

Fire fighters were able to contain the fire to the attic, though they did have to make a hole in the roof.

The owner of the house was attempting to sell it, and no one was in the house at the time. Officials said the owner lives near the house.

Fire officials say the damage is considered to be moderate.
