Delegates chosen to represent the northwest region for the parks and wildlife

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – The Colorado Parks and Wildlife is forming a new sportsmen's roundtable to represent the different regions in the state.

At a sportsmen's caucus Wednesday night, two delegates were chosen by vote to represent the Western Slope region.

The two newly elected delegates will now meet the other delegates from the different regions at a roundtable meeting in Denver.

"They can bring back some of the ideas and more of a statewide prospective as well as we can have more discussion again on maybe different issues within the region or provide more information about the northwest region. They can then take that back to the statewide council," says Bill Devergie, area wildlife manager in Meeker.

The roundtable will meet four times during the year, aiming to work with the agency for wildlife management decisions and goals.
