The 19th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will make an overnight stop in Grand Junction on April 30, 2013.
During a weeklong event, former NASCAR driver and racing analyst Kyle Petty will lead more than 175 motorcycle riders on cross-country trek to benefit Victory Junction, a camp for chronically ill children.
Spectators, visitors and residents will have the chance to meet Kyle Petty and NFL great/Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker while the group is in Grand Junction. In addition, community members can learn how they can contribute to the Charity Ride's "Small Change. Big Impact." program that benefits children with chronic illnesses.
