CDOT officials warn of I-70 mountain delays

DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation is warning drivers that maintenance and reconstruction work will be causing traffic stops and lane closures along the Interstate 70 mountain corridor throughout the holiday season.

Overnight lane closures in both directions will continue through December, and crews are doing routine maintenance at the Eisenhower Tunnel.

Travelers should also expect traffic stops around the clock through January near the Twin Tunnels east of Idaho Springs.
