Mesa County Sherriff’s Office investigating horse shooting

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate the suspect involved in shooting a horse.

Between Thursday, Dec. 27 and Friday Dec. 28 an unknown person shot and killed a tan Quarter horse stallion at 5910 Elk Ranch Road in Glade Park. A small caliber firearm was fired at a close distance from the animal. The horse was valued at $8,000.

Anyone that has any information about the person or location of the person involved is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 241-7867. Information reported to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest can earn you up to $1000 and you will remain completely anonymous. For more information, click on the link below.
