GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- A major snowstorm is causing tricky travel situations across the country, and while the roads and skies may be clear in Grand Junction, you'll want to know more about local delays.

If you're flying out of Grand Junction Regional Airport today, the FAA reports general departure and arrival delays of 15 minutes or less.

It's not much of a wait but could affect your plans if you're connecting at a major airport.

The snow caused Kansas City International Airport to close as of Thursday. It should reopen later on this afternoon.

As for the roads, if you're traveling over to the Front Range for the weekend, give yourself extra time to get where you need to go.

The Colorado Department of Transportation's website shows several snowy and icy spots along I-70, including through Glenwood Springs, Vail Pass and the Eisenhower Tunnel. Click the link below for current conditions.
