Businesses are gearing up for New Year celebrations

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The New Year is fast approaching, leaving many people rushing to local stores and restaurants for their favorite party drinks.

While we are planning where to go and what to get for these festive events, some businesses are dealing with the most hectic time of the year.

Fisher's Liquors has to plan ahead well in advance every year to make sure they have enough of everyone's favorite drinks in stock.

Depending on the holiday, they know which drinks to stock up on and which drinks they can leave out.

While this liquor store is happy to supply drinks for everyone's holiday get-togethers, they also want to make sure it's a safe night as well.

Store employees encourage everyone to have a designated driver.

They also suggest parents to hire their teenage kids to get you to your destination safely.
