Relay For Life has a rally in Grand Junction

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Cancer is a disease that affects many people and their families. Thursday evening the American Cancer Society held a rally for Relay for Life at the Clarion Hotel on Horizon Drive.

Cancer survivors' shared heart warming stories, and talked about Relay For Life and how the event has had a positive effect on them and their families.

The rally is intended to fire up volunteers and participants to go out and raise money for the relay.

Organizers say this is the time to start thinking about starting or joining a team. The Relay For Life of Grand Junction is June 14th through the 15th. The relay starts at 6pm and is a 24 hour event.
