FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- A former Loveland police officer accused of possessing child pornography and watching a woman shower without her permission will have to wait to enter a plea because his attorney wants more time to review evidence.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/Z5nal4 ) 48-year-old Rodney Bretches was prepared to plead not guilty Friday, but his attorney said he recently received "a lot" of electronic evidence from the Larimer County District Attorney's Office. Bretches is set to appear in court April 8.
He was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and unlawful sexual contact by peeping. The investigation began after someone showed the woman an image from one of multiple videos of her showering. Investigators say a search turned up child pornography on Bretches' computer.
Bretches resigned after charges were filed last May.
