GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Community members are deciding how they'll cast their vote in a few weeks on Referendum A.

The Brady Trucking company bought over 16 acres of land for their business; right now, they're using about four of those acres.

The other 12 they can't use quite yet.

These acres of land are right along the river and border Eagle Rim Park, so some residents aren't too happy about the idea of this business expanding in the area and having a large building as the park's neighbor.

Also, the River Front Trail is supposed to extend through this area on their property.

"We're willing to cooperate; we're willing to allow a 50 foot easement. We're willing to allow the continuation of the river walk trail through our property," said Chuck Johnson, with Brady Trucking.

Brady Trucking held an open house this morning to inform city voters about their site plans and give community members a chance to voice their opinions on the zoning layout.

On April 2nd, the community will decide if this company will get to expand their business onto their land by voting on Referendum A.
